Call for Papers

The Bangladesh Journal of Law and Diplomacy (BJLD) is now accepting submissions for its first issue. The journal provides a platform for academics, practitioners, and scholars to contribute to discussions on legal and diplomatic matters relevant to Bangladesh and the global community. We invite submissions on a wide range of topics related to law, diplomacy, international relations, human rights, conflict resolution, and regional cooperation.

Legal frameworks in international diplomacy

Comparative legal studies

Human rights and international law

Diplomatic relations and foreign policy analysis

Trade agreements and economic diplomacy

Environmental diplomacy and legal challenges

Conflict resolution and peacebuilding efforts

Regional cooperation in South Asia

Maritime law and the Bay of Bengal

Climate change and legal responses

International organizations and Bangladesh’s role

We welcome both theoretical and empirical papers that contribute to the development of law and diplomacy, with a particular focus on Bangladesh and its international relations.

Submission Guidelines:

Manuscript Length: Submissions should be between 4,000 to 7,000 words (excluding footnotes and references).

Abstract: All submissions must include an abstract of 250-300 words.

Formatting: Manuscripts should be formatted according to the OSCOLA  style for legal references and APA for non-legal papers.

Language: All submissions must be in English.

Plagiarism: Submitted papers should be original and not under consideration with any other journal. Each submission will be checked for plagiarism. Besides, AI-generated works will not be counted as original.

File Format: Submissions must be in Word format (.doc or .docx).

Deadline: The submission deadline for this issue is November 15, 2024.

Review Process: All papers will undergo a double-blind peer-review process. Authors will be notified of acceptance within eight weeks of submission.

Please submit your manuscripts via email to submission@iild.org with the subject line “Submission for BJLD: [Your Paper Title]”.

Or, you may submit the hard copy of your manuscript to the journal section of International Institute of Law and diplomacy (IILD) office.
