Seminar Overview:

NarratiV Alap is a signature program organized by NarratiV, a public-oriented policy platform that focuses on generating pro-people and effective policies through understanding the underlying structures that effect the policy beneficiaries. It also works to connect  Bangladeshi youths with renowned global academics and activists to get them familiar with the global and local narratives. In this episode, we will explore the dynamics of Bangladesh-India relations through the insights of the esteemed guests listed below. Following the July Revolution, the relationship between Bangladesh and India has worsened steadily. Over the years, India has often been perceived as a friend of the former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina rather than a friend of Bangladesh as a whole. When the ousted Prime Minister of Bangladesh fled to India, the actions of the Indian media and establishment were seen as unfriendly towards their Bangladeshi counterparts, further straining the relationship.

In this episode, we aim to analyze the complexities of this relationship. Additionally, we will explore how Bangladesh-India relations can improve and how Bangladesh can effectively balance its ties with both India and China simultaneously.
