International Institute of Law and Diplomacy (IILD) and Human Rights Development Centre (HRDC) jointly organized a policy dialogue on โStrengthening Human Rights Protection in Bangladesh: Institutional Reforms and Legal Response to Enforced Disappearanceโ on 22 August 2026 at the Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB).
The dialogue brought together human rights practitioners, lawyers, politicians, researchers, journalists, policymakers, activists for a substantive discussion on strengthening Bangladeshโs institutional and legal framework for human rights protection, with particular attention to enforced disappearance. The discussion explored institutional accountability, legal remedies for victims and their families, existing gaps in the protection framework, and pathways toward meaningful, rights-centered reform.
